Merry Christmas Eve!

I hope everyone is having a wonderful week and is ready for Christmas tomorrow! :) I'm so very lucky to get almost two weeks off every Christmas. I work at a graduate school and so when the school is closed we're off. They take all of our 'Monday' Holidays during the year like Memorial Day, etc and give them to us all at once. I personally LOVE the idea and love having tons of time off. I've been enjoying my break so much, I actually forgot that today was Monday and that I should have been at work. That's the sign of a good break!! :)

I'm almost ready for Christmas, kind of, haha. I still have to wrap gifts, I was going to wrap this morning but I forgot tape! So, I have to go to Dollar General in a bit. I'm thinking of taking a few cookies to the women who work there when I go so I'm waiting for a few last things to come out of the oven.

We're celebrating with the same friends we celebrated Thanksgiving with. Everything I made I'm taking half there and half with us when we go home to VA. I've made peppermint sugar cookies, chocolate covered peanut butter cheesecake truffles, peanut butter cookies, sausage balls, meatballs and lil smokies with sweet and spicey sauce and deviled eggs! The deviled eggs are NOT traveling with us, haha.

I just love Christmas. Not just the decorations, food and family but the real reason for the season and the amazing gift we were all given! Christmas Eve Service has always been my favorite. The candle light and the anticipation of what we're celebrating.

I hope that you enjoy celebrating with family and friends. If you have to work, Thank you! I'm joining Matt at his store in a few hours to help him with the rush tonight. Retail is a hard hard job, especially at the holidays!

Retail is definitely tough right now.
