i feel like i'm in a january slump this week. getting back in to the swing of things after the holidays takes some time. and my to do list is already growing growing growing. we have a big event for work in february and we just found out that one of the people in our office will be leaving after that event. there's going to be some changes with that one. i don't think they're planning on filling her position, so it will be interesting to see how her duties get divided. especially since i don't know everything she does now!
something i've been trying to do for a few months now is watch what and how much i eat. i found my fitness pal through a fellow blogger and i'm really enjoying it. i'm trying to be real and posting every single thing i eat on there, even things i'm ashamed to say i eat! it really makes you look at your list for the day and rethink the foods you eat the next day. it also has a little glass of water you can click on to 'add' water to your daily water cup. i'm proud to say i haven't had anything except water or hot tea this week at work and i'm sticking to one diet soda a day at work. this goal will probably be harder than anything else. i purchased some crystal light and some MiO for work and it helps the water go down a lot. i just need a little flavor, you know? the other thing i love about it is that basically everything i've eaten so far is in the system. you search for the food, add how much you ate of it and voila it fills in calories and everything! being easy is key for me. also i make a point of filling out breakfast and lunch for that day in the morning when i get to work and adding dinner and snacks for the day before while i'm at it. hopefully this is something i can really keep up with.
and i've been working on this post since like 2pm and i now have no energy to finish it. i think i'm catching matt's strep/cold nastiness. i'm prescribing myself ibuprofen and an early bedtime. here's hoping to i wake up feeling like a new person!
then it will be friday and the weekend, yay! :)
