Fitness I can Live With

Before the holidays I was really on track with my weight loss. I hit a little bump in the road with the holidays and the weather getting cold (or as I like to call it South Carolina cold ;) When I was home for Christmas I was reminded what REAL cold is, haha). We haven't been playing tennis as much because honestly I'm a big baby when it comes to being cold and tennis is just not much fun when you are shivering!

So we joined the local YMCA. I was honestly not expecting much from it, but being the ONLY gym for a 30 min radius, it was what we had to work with. And I have been really impressed. We haven't even been members for a week yet, but I love it.

Saturday our first day, I took a Zumba class. And I sort of fell head over heels for it. I think my husband thinks I wished I had married zumba instead (just kidding! ;) kind of....)

I'm pretty terrible at it, but I don't think it really matters. Because at the end I was still sweating buckets and I could tell it was a great work out!

(haha maybe I should wear a tutu next time, perhaps I'd feel more confident shaking my hips then? ;))

Last night I also started an 8 week weight loss support group. We're required to journal and we have discussions each week. We also have a goal of drinking half our weight in water (in ounces) a day. Man oh geez! This is HARD!

(do I look this serene when drinking water?)

Since you don't know me in real life you don't know that I inherited the world's smallest bladder and already go to the bathroom every 15 minutes (or at least it feels like I do!).

I feel like I should just put my office in the bathroom or install a toilet by my desk. A catheter perhaps even? I don't know but it's getting crazy. Will my bladder adjust over time? Will I stop feeling like I have to pee ALL the time?

All you pregnant ladies out there, I feel for you. I know what it's like to have to pee all the time. And it's not the normal oh I have to pee. It's if I don't pee right now you better have a towel handy. It actually physically hurts if I hold it in for too long. Poor tiny bladder.

Alright, I feel like that is enough over sharing for the day!

Happy Tuesday! Almost to the weekend again, right? ;)

I started having a similar issue with peeing when I began drinking water all day, about 3 years ago. I've read that you can train your bladder to hold it for longer if you wait a few extra minutes before going to the bathroom. To be honest, though, I've never noticed a change after trying this.

Good luck with the support group and class!

Love the Zumba imagine on this page :)

Let me know if you find anything that helps with the bladder. Otherwise, just enjoy your potty breaks and think about how much exercise you're getting walking back and forth to the restroom. At least that's what I try and do :)
